The Neurobehavioural Assessment Option will provide you with an understanding of how the brain and nervous system enable us to learn and control movement, and how the nervous system can be impacted by injury or illness (i.e., Acquired Brain Injuries, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease).
Courses will evaluate the biomechanical, physiological, and neurobehavioural bases of motor impairments, and will prepare you to join rehabilitation teams that assess movement problems in special populations.
The Neurobehavioural Assessment Option is available to Kinesiology co-op students only, and normally at least 3 work terms must be related to neurobehavioural assessment activities.
For information about the courses you would take to complete this Option, refer to the Undergradaute Calendar.
If you are interested in pursuing the Neurobheavioural Assessment Option you should apply to Kinesiology co-op. At the end of your first year, you can declare the option. Approximately 10 students are selected each year.
