Why Kinesiology?

As the first department of kinesiology in the world, we have been a defining force in the study of human movement, and continue to make major advancements in the field:
Students study human anatomy

Take part in hands-on learning. We were the first non-medical school in Canada to house a School of Anatomy, giving every first-year student the chance to study human anatomy using cadavers. The hands-on experience doesn't stop there - over 70% of the courses you'll take feature a lab component.

Dr. Richard Hughson Learn from the experts like Dr. Richard Hughson who works with NASA to help understand the effects of weightlessness on astronauts, and Dr. Stuart McGill, who's been featured in The New York Times, News Week, and Macleans magazine for exposing the injury risks associated with traditional sit-ups.

Access the most state-of-the art equipment available. We spend hundrends of thousands of dollars each year to ensure that you have access to the most advanced equipment. We can even build and modify the equipment we need in our purpose-built workshop.

Roger Takahashi Prepare for success. As a kinesiology grad, you'll be prepared for a success (like Roger Takahashi who is the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Vancouver Canucks). In a recent survey, 99% of Kinesiology grads were working, enrolled in graduate or professional programs, or following other pursuits after graduation.
