Research:

Before coming to Waterloo I was an orthopaedic surgeon with several years experience in reconstructive surgery of the upper limb, lower limb and face. My research at UW has focused on the are biomechanics of the upper limb as it relates to tendon transfers in the hand, and the causes and prevalence of repetitive strain injury in industry. As Head of the Human School of Anatomy I was able to advise students regarding anatomical structure, cross-sectional anatomy and the placement of electromyography electrodes.

Since retirement from the University I have continued to work with Dr. Howard Green on muscle physiology, with a special interest in forearm muscle pain in workers.
