Laura Talbot-Allan Award

Background and History

Laura Talbot-Allan is the Vice President, External Relations at UW. This award encourages students to continue research activities with the Research Institute for Aging.

Purpose


The award of up to $2,000 is presented annually to a fourth-year AHS student who has demonstrated an interest in aging through research, coursework and activities related to the Research Institute for Aging.

Eligibility


Students must apply for this award through the Student Awards Office. The award is considered based on a minimum 80% average, demonstrated interest in aging through research, coursework and activities related to the Research Institute for Aging, and financial need.

Application Procedures

Applicants must complete the special application form as well as the bursary application form both available on the Student Awards Office website. The deadline for 2005-2006 is January 31, 2006. In future years the deadline will be October 15th.
