Honours Student Expectations for Full Course Loads
All students in Honours-level degree programs in Applied Health Sciences are normally expected to complete at least half of their degree requirements with full course-load terms (i.e. 4 terms of 5 courses each).
However, there is some room for flexibility to acknowledge the varying circumstances of students (i.e. for those involved in varsity athletics, or those with part-time jobs to pay for their education which make this less practical). For this reason, all students are normally expected to successfully complete 5.0 units in each of their first two years (September through August). Students with learning disabilities or other circumstances that prevent them from completing this requirement may petition to have the requirement waived.
Note: Students graduating from the Four-Year General program do not need to meet this requirement. However, if a student in the Four-Year General program plans to raise their averages to return to the Honours program, then they must complete this requirement.
