In appreciation for the opportunity to serve cardiac patients of Southwestern Ontario, the Ontario Aerobics Centre is proud to host the 25th Anniversary Cardiac Rehabilitation Symposium.

The purpose of the symposium is to provide an environment to learn and share knowledge and experience relating to the broad-based practice of cardiac rehabilitation. It is open to all Cardiac Rehabilitation providers in Canada.

Twenty-five to thirty years ago cardiac rehabilitation related mostly to exercise. Today our field has expanded dramatically to include intervention and support in diet, nutrition, smoking cessation, stress management, vocational and psychosocial intervention, psychological considerations relating to certain personality types, and group support.

It is hoped that through this symposium the attendees will not only broaden their knowledge base, but also share experience, discuss new ideas, and engender a feeling of community among the cardiac rehabilitation practitioners.
